The lesser-known of the Knowles sister duo made an appearance on a Las Vegas Fox channel to talk about I guess her album or something. And naturally, the producers of the show planned to ask her about Jay-Z selling his Vegas club 40/40. I don't see this being a particularly juicy question. It's not like it's related to some scandal. She could have given some B.S. answer. Give these journalists a break for doing their freakin job! But instead, she gets all defensive on the reporter who happened to appear confused. Watch as Solange calls the station out for introducing her on TV in such an "unprofessional" manner, and the producer tells her that the question about Jay-Z didn't even appear on air.

The Olympics Have Severly Inconvenienced Poor J.Lo's Hopeful Comeback
What was Michael Phelps thinking? Did he really have to go and score those 8 gold medals at the same time that the artist formerly known as J.Lo is trying to make headlines as she trains for the 22nd Annual Malibu Triathlon?I'm sure nobody else cares, but Diva Lopez is effing pissed! Who does this Olympian Phelps guy think he is?!?! While he is busy swimming in water, doesn't he know that Lopez walks on it? Psh...
An insider on the set of Good Morning America--the show Jenny From Da Blizock appeared on yesterday to talk about her training--told MSNBC's The Scoop that J.Ho thinks her matters are far more important than "that swimmer."
The source said Jenny "couldn’t come up with Phelps’ name, and then she yammered on about how she was the one training for a triathlon just six months after giving birth, and how that was the big story right now, not ‘the swimmer."
Sorry to burst J.Ho's bubble butt, but with Phelps in the picture or not, the former Fly-Girl's however many minutes of fame are up--and pretty much have been, following her marriage to that nobody named Marc Anthony. Sorry biatch!

Tori Spelling is Dissed by the New 90210
Remember when I posted a while back that Tori Spelling would not be appearing on the new 90210 afterall, due to her recent childbirth to daughter Stella? Well, turns out I was wrongly informed.
It turns out, in fact, that Ms. Spelling has been DE-NIED the same sum as her original co-stars Jennie Garth and Goddess Shannen Doherty to appear on 90210 2.0 . And as one would expect, the horse-faced actress is not a happy camper! Because of this, she has retracted her decision to return to the zip that made her famous.
Is Tori unattractive? Yes. Was she the worst "actress" to stem from the original 90210? Absolutely. But, I must agree with Garth, when she states, "Her father created the show." Good point. And for that alone, I definitely think Spelling should be offered the same amount of money as Garth and Doherty. Perhaps the producers figured Spelling has no career, so she'd probably walk on set for free, for that matter. I mean Doherty has no career, but let's be honest--she'd be worth all the millions and trillions in the world to reprise her role.
Garth apparently doesn't speak to Spelling anymore, but says of her former co-star, "I'm really bummed because I love Tori and I was psyched Tori was going to be on the show. I don't know what really happened because I haven't talked to her. I would like to talk to her."
Doherty is probably stoked. More screen time for her--I mean afterall, she is the only 90210 character people really care about. The only thing she had to offer for comment was, “They didn’t even get the numbers right so I don’t know if it’s about the money either.” How profound...

Take That, Skanky Cyrus!
In response to that horrendus YouTube vid in which Miley Cyrus and her skankalicious BFF Mandy Jiroux proceed to mock Selena Gomez and her BFF Demi Lovato, it appears Kevin Jonas, brother of Cyrus' ex-bf Nick, is making it clear which side he reps. I don't really care about these Jonas kids, but I will say, this tee is priceless! Nice work, pal.
And this tee follows not only the YouTube dramz, but the recent publishing of an interview with Seventeen magazine in which Cyrus tells the mag she and Nick "were in love for 2 years" and she may "end up marrying Nick Jonas."
Something tells me she'll take a hint after seeing this! Bad karma, biaaaatch!
Yes, There is Such a Thing as Bad Publicity
Hayden Panettiere is probably hiding herself in embarrassment after the scene that went down in the wee hours of this morning, following Hayden's event last night at Eva Longoria's restaurant Beso.According to reports, Panettiere's father Alan was arrested after getting into a physical altercation with his wife, Hayden's mother, Lesley--with photographic evidence showing marks on Lesley's face from where Alan hit her.
As of the moment, there has not been public comment from Panettiere or her camp. All we know is there was reportedly alcohol involved, and this anger stemmed from Mr. P accusing his wife of "disrespecting him," following her chattiness with Paula Abdul's restaurant ex, JT Torregiani.

Ludacris Pulls a Kanye
Despite some oh-so-typical misogynistic and explicit lyrics, rapper Ludacris really has kept himself out of controversy's way--that is--until now. Following in the footsteps of a very politically outspoken Kanye West (remember when West proudly declared that George W. Bush doesn't care about Black people?), Luda makes a statement that has people reacting negatively--including presidential hopeful Barack Obama, himself.
In his latest cut, "Politics: Obama is Here," 'cris states in regards to Obama's current and former presidential opponents, "Hillary [Clinton] hated on you, so that b**ch is irrelevant.”
He then goes on to rant, "[John] McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed. Yeah I said it 'cause Bush is mentally handicapped. Ball up all of his speeches and I throw 'em like candy wrap."
Upon hearing Luda's hateful new song, Bill Burton, an official spokesperson for Obama, released the following statement geared toward the rapper:
"...This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics."
Something tells me Luda will not be invited to perform at Obama's inauguration ceremony.Saturday, July 26, 2008
In Case You Were Visiting Mars This Past Week...
- It was a battle of the Disney hotties VS the Disney Notties. 15-year-old Miley Cyrus and her trailer park teef, alongside her 20-year-old cradle-robbing BFF Mandy Jiroux, tried tried to chomp all over Disney darlings Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. Cyrus and Jiroux made complete annoying idiots out of themselves (out wait--nothing new) in an attempt to mock Disney's most beautiful starlets in a YouTube video (see below). Cyrus has her granny panties in a bunch because not only is Gomez waaayyyyy hotter than Cyrus' skankazz, but Gomez is rumored to be dating Cyrus' ex, Nick Jonas. I don't know what's more pathetic: the fact that Cyrus and Jiroux are stupid enough to actually post this--or the fact that Jiroux is wasting her time dissing 2 adorable girls who are 5 years her junior!
- Shanna Moakler let her true classy colors show at a BBQ in Malibu, throwing a drink at Kim Kardashian, claiming the Armenian Goddess was sending more-than-friends-ish emails to her then-hubby Travis Barker. Moakler chatted it up with blog owner Nik Richie, and on the record, called Kardashian a "fat donkey," amongst other things. If Kimmy K. is a "fat donkey," then I aspire to be just that!
- Famous fashion flopper Mariah Carey done did it again, looking (as Perez would say) shitaeous as she showed up to BET's 106 & Park in a gawd-awful number.

Is In Touch Weekly the New Star Magazine?
In wake of big celeb tabloids Us Weekly, OK!, and long-running People reaching the realms of pop-culture within the last 4 or 5 years, other tabloids In Touch and Life & Style hopped on the bandwagon with celebrity gossip pubs of their own. Each likes to claim it's reports are true, but very rarely do these "news" outlets report accurate information. Or at least, not all of them do.
In Touch, the same mag that broke the highly-publicized-yet-false "news" back in November '07 that Britney Spears was carrying JR Rotem's baby, has been caught in two more major examples of false reporting--in just this week alone. One of these situations may even get the mag sued.
Yesterday, the mag's website announced that Vicky's Secret model Miranda Kerr and boytoy Orlando Bloom had called it quits, even going as far as to claim Miranda was spotted making out with Firecrotch-coiner Brandon Davis. Today, Kerr's parents fire back at reports, saying, "Miranda and Orlando have never been closer and are happier right now more so than ever. He's meeting her in Paris next week."
Then today, the mag posted an "exclusive interview" with a woman named Chaton Anderson, who the mag quotes as saying she met John Mayer and that he said his current relationship status was "vague," and that he didn't mention anything about Jennifer Aniston whatsoever. The mag continued with other so-called "quotes," including inferences that Mayer was getting flirty with this woman. Anderson fired back immediately, telling Us Weekly exclusively that she "met John a year ago" and "doesn't understand why [In Touch] would say it was this year." Anderson tells the mag she is considering taking legal action on In Touch, saying this fabricated story is "humiliating."
It looks to me like In Touch is getting itself prepared for a seat on the throne of shady journalism.
Kanye's Plan to Prevent Particular Blogger From Getting Publicity Surely Backfires

If Kanye West thought "cleverly" scratching out some guy's face and whiting out his name would stop the guy from being noticed, he couldn't have been more wrong.
This morning, West posted a blog entry entitled, "I DON'T KNOW WHO THE HELL THIS IS... BUT I COVERED HIS NAME AND FACE SO HE WOULDN'T GET THE PUB HE WAS OBVIOUSLY LOOKIN' 4!"
This short posting was in response to a blog entry written about a guy named Marcus Troy who is supposedly West's "Ghost Writer." In other terms, this is someone who supposedly blogs for the rapper behind the scenes so that he can continue to have posts up on his site even when he is off jetsetting around the world or on tour. These posts are written to sound like West, so that people do not think someone is writing them for him.
As West whited out anything relating to this Marcus fella, all it took was the googling of the entry's title, "Meet Kanye West's Ghost Blogger" to read the original entry and find out what this guy is all about. And naturally, within just a few short hours of Kanye's attempt at giving this guy an invisible identity, the blogger dude probably had more hits on his personal website than West, himself, for the day.
And what's especially funny? Troy isn't even the one to be held accountable for this "Ghost Writer" talk. It was this other blogger named Sandra Rose, who claimed this information as such. The Kanye-outing continues, as in a more recent post, Rose proceeds to deem West a "Blog Jacker." I'm sure we can all sit back and anticipate another Kanye reaction to this one.
So, lesson of the day, folks? Make up a rumor (or state the truth, for that matter) about Kanye West--or call him out for something, or talk shit--and you're automatically guaranteed free press. Because Kanye is the King of clearing up rumors on his blog for the world to see. Little does he know, his little shit talking antics are really doing everyone else a favor.

The Game Gives Props to Former Nemesis 50 Cent
Looks like the G-Unit CEO and his former protégé have finally put the dramz behind them.
At Thom Thom’s club in Santa Monica on Tuesday night, guests took a break from smoking, drinking and sneak-peaking The Game’s long-awaited album “LAX” to listen to a courteous—albeit shocking—announcement from the rapper.
"I ain't got no beef with 50," the Game said. "All that . . . was on wax. I never shot at him, he never shot at me. Both of us done said a lot. But we're not Biggie and Pac. I appreciate homey for helping me on my way up."
Not to be ignored, however, it is reported that shortly before this point, The Game proclaimed from the stage that he was drunk, as he slurred his words and skewered the members of his rap collective Black Wall Street. He even flubbed the name of the president of his record label as he gave him a shout-out from the stage. So who’s to say Game would stand by his statement in a sober statement.
The feud—initially triggered back in ’05 by The Game collabing on a track with 50-rival Joe Budden and appearing in a music video with other 50-rival Jim Jones—led to many back and forth hate-related actions including The Game’s coining of the term G-Unot—a mockery of G-Unit (including a tattoo of the term on his arm), an array of s**t-talking songs, and public altercations with The Game and members of his former crew. This led to becoming one of the most well-known feuds in hip-hop history.
The Game and Fiddy last attempted to end their war of words in May 2005 when they declared a truce at a press conference, during which they donated $253,500 to the Boys Choir of Harlem, New York.
But the truce lasted less than a month before The Game publicly criticized 50 Cent's leadership qualities as the head of the G-Unit rap brand.
Now that supposedly alls good in the hood, should we expect another 50/Game collabo anytime soon? Or do you think this was either a meaningless belligerent statement or perhaps a publicity stunt to promote The Game’s new album?

The Celtics Won...Again--And Oh Yeah, I Still Hate the Lakers

Despite the fact that these stupid sporting events get me mildly intoxicated, reeking of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages I cannot recall--and force me to still go to work the next day at 6am--I still do find them fun. But some events are more fun than others. Like Superbowl Sunday is like fun because I can drink beer. fun. but nonetheless, how much do I *actually* care about Superbowl Sunday? [brace yourselves] NOT THAT MUCH. But basketball shit is different. It's fun. a) basketball games are actually exciting, and b) There's usually some teams that my family raised me to endorse.
This year, prime example. For one (I'm going to get shot for this), I've never been a Lakers fan. I will get to that in just one moment, but really, eff the Purp & Yellow. And for two, I've *always* been a Celtics fan (courtesy of my mom), so duh... of course I'm going to root for the Celtics. They were like always considered the "worst" team, so to see them shine--and to see them shine against the crap-ass-trendy Lakers definitely brings a smile to my face (except for at 6am, when baring a hangover courtesy of the latest championship series game).
So back to the whole Lakers thing. I feel like the Lakers possess two types of fans. Real fans (as every team does) and bandwagon fans. I don't think there's any basketball team on the planet that gets more props (and bandwagon love) than the effing Lakers. Yes, they are probably the most popular basketball team. But that's the problem. People think it's sooo cool to dig the Lakers. I guess when you see David Beckham, Jack Nicholson and Demi/Ashton (etc...) at all the games, there becomes a sense of appeal. But if *everyone* were *real* fans, I'd be okay with it. Like nobody gives a flying eff about the Celtics. Even my adorable little Boston-based cousin who I texted last night following the win, couldn't care less. But LAKER "fans" of course care. Everyone cares about the Lakers--because it's one more thing that makes them "L-A"--because it's trendy.
GO GREEN!

Perez Hilton's Clothing Line Apparently not a Hot Topic Amongst Consumers

Following in the footsteps of LC, Heidi Montag and Avril, Perez Hilton was the latest pseudo-celeb to come out with an unsuccessful clothing line. The line, innovatively titled "Perez Hilton For Hot Topic," includes neon-colored clothing ensembles and $50 blog-themed flip-flops.
Perhaps his "fans" were too busy reading away on his website to take the time to pay the blogger-turned-clothing designer an in-person visit. According to an employee at the Los Angeles Hot Topic at which Hilton appeared, only seven whopping people showed up to the event, and Hilton was furious. He apparently spent the entire time there making all sorts of ridiculous demands.
"He was a rude royal pain in the ass and BEYOND crass... My manager was trying to get people to come in to meet Perez by handing out $5 gift cards NO ONE WANTED TO MEET HIM!" Says the employee.
"He left around 8:45PM without saying goodbye to anyone and looked like he had been crying like the little bitch he is. We sold a grand total of $6.45 of Perez Hilton items between 6PM - 9PM. My manager has already talked about discounting his ‘line’ !”
Hmm...maybe it's bad karma for talking smack on everyone *else's* clothing lines. Or maybe it's just bad karma for talking smack on everyone, period. Either way, I think it's best Hilton stick to blogging and save the fashion faux-pas' for the people who are going to continue to give him something to write about!

LC's Friend Count Drops...Again

Oh the dramz. I’ll report this as though it is actually true, but given all The Hills publicity stunts (on and off cam), I honestly don’t know what to believe anymore.
Either way, apparently it’s splitsville for the item known as LC and Audrina. Considering Audrina auditioned for her role as apartment-neighbor-turned-pal in the faux-ality show, it is no surprise that this forced “friendship” has come to an end.
It was reported yesterday that LC came home recently to find professional photogs surrounding Audrina and her (gasp!) room, preparing for a photo shoot for OK! Magazine. LC, being the jealous diva she is, apparently went ballistic, and now Audrina is speaking out to OK! exclusively about what happened.
"She was very, very, very mad," explains Audrina in the interview.
"She said it’s her house. But this is my room. I said, 'We’re not taking pictures of your house — don’t be rude.' It just adds to the tension. Now she thinks I’m sneaky and shady for doing this photo shoot, yet she and her team knew about it. She won’t let it go."

Some Territory Should Just NEVER Be Tampered With
Let’s be honest. The only way this stupid 90210 spin-off is going to actually be a success for more than a season (if lucky) would be if the role of praiseworthy Brenda Walsh is reprised. That’s great that Kelly Taylor and Donna Martin are making cameos, but guess what? Nobody actually cares. I love the show till the day I die, but there’s no way the show would have been what it was without Shannen and her bitchass.
If Shannen comes to do the show... Excellent,” Jennie told Extra. “The fans would love it. I'm a big girl. I can handle anything."

A Cocky Usher Takes Another Stab at Ex-Girlfriend Chili's Heart
We all remember the "You Got it Bad" music video that Usher and his then-lovebird Chili (Rozanda Thomas) stared in together. They were R&B's hottest coupling at the time. Well fast-forward 7 years and now Usher is the husband to Tameka Foster and the father to Usher Raymond V. No Chili on the side. [joke]Well now that he is happily married with a child, and is one of--if not the--most popular names in R&B, Ush is singing a new tune--one that doesn't sound too pretty.
When Chili was recently quoted, saying "Usher is the only person I ever truly did love. I’m not in love with him anymore, but I can’t say I don’t love him," Usher fired back, saying, "I mean, I think it’s a little unrealistic, I’m married (laughs), I’m not a boy. It’s been three years past, you know? But we all have unrealistic goals too. Like shoot, I will always forever love Katie Holmes and Halle Berry. I don’t feel anyway about it. It does appear maybe to be a plug for something. She got a record coming or something?”
Wow. You cheat on a woman and she has the decency to say she still cares about you after all this time, and you go and shoot her down? That's some class right there. Not to mention, she said she's not in love with you anymore, so what are these "unrealistic goals" you are referring to?
